Candy, Flowers, & a Card
Veterinarian Agnes Topper encounters a man waiting for his girlfriend in a city park. She becomes intrigued by the gifts he's selected for her - a box of candy, a bouquet of flowers, and a greeting card - and launches a scientific inquiry into the role these items play in human mating rituals. But is her interest purely academic?

Three Questions
James Franklin, depressed over the death of his wife, is about to end his own life when the phone rings. The caller, Brenda, is conducting a telephone survey about dry cleaning. He's in no mood to answer her three questions, but she won't take "no" for an answer.

Vampires on Disability
A well-meaning government bureaucrat must handle requests for benefits from disabled applicants. Already burned out by his efforts to help people, his patience is strained to the breaking point when a new applicant demands to receive benefits on the basis of an unusual disability--that of being a vampire.

Hillside in Hell
Sisyphus, cursed by the gods, must continually roll a rock up a hillside in Hell only to have it roll back down. He's not happy about this--but then, neither is the rock! Zeus has granted it the power of speech, but Sisyphus and his rock don't get along. Caught in the crossfire is their neighbor, a lonely titan named Prometheus. After 3,000 years of this, something's got to give...
One-act play (approx. 15 minutes), first produced at Source Theatre's 22nd Annual Washington Theatre Festival, Washington, DC 2002, where it won first place in the 10-minute play competition.

The Sound of One Hand Typing
The play begins just as a man and woman finish having cybersex. Though she's never seen his face or heard his voice, she's quite taken with her virtual lover and would like a relationship with him. He's just in it for the cybersex. But something about her keeps him chatting long after he usually logs off.
